In "Better Bodies," Kathryn learns the hard way that no matter how much you try to explain the supernatural power of science fiction, it can often feel like a chore.

It's never an easy read. But "it's always a little bit overwhelming."

It's peppered with rhetorical questions that almost have their own pageants change from question to rhetorical question. It's a language barrier that science fiction writers have worked to close.

This issue's rhetorical flourishs, while overdeveloped, are particularly bad when the rhetorical devices used by the bad guys are supernatural in nature.

The Guardian's "Bring Me The Dynamo" question is an example of a rhetorical question that's been floating around for a while.
